Renowned Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Recognized For Appearances in The Middle and Friends, Dies at 60 Years Old.
Stateside entertainer Pat Finn, who was seen in iconic television series such as "Friends", Seinfeld and The Middle, has succumbed at the age of 60.
The skilled improv artist succumbed at his home in Los Angeles, California recently after undergoing cancer treatment beginning in 2022, per reports.
"Pat never met a stranger - solely future friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones shared in a announcement.
They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".
A Notable Career on Screen
His initial on-screen part was on the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he played the brother of the main character.
He was also seen in a repeating character on Murphy Brown in the latter half of the 1990s.
He played the part of the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, portraying a host known to delegate burdensome jobs to his guests.
Throughout the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he made guest appearances on several hit series, including:
- King of Queens
- "Friends"
- "That '70s Show"
- "House"
His most famous role for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight series between 2011 and 2018.
His film credits encompass It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".
Beyond the Screen
Away from his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and worked as a teacher at the Colorado university, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe named Beer Shark Mice.
"He guided, supported, and advised numerous pupils over the years and it would be difficult to find someone anywhere who has anything negative to say about him," his family wrote.
In a tribute, peer actor Richard Kind said there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. An excellent dad and person," Kind wrote online.
The actor is survived by his partner Donna, his children, and his family.
